Writing Submission

We are pleased to consider many forms of writing including short stories, personal essays, opinion editorials, editorial cartoons, and any work of fiction or non-fiction. We do ask that stories are kept under 15,000 words (roughly) and submitted in English. Work selected for publication are eligible for compensation of up to $250 based upon the discretion of our editorial staff. In order to pay our contributors and editors, we collect a fee of 5 dollars for consideration of short stories, essays, and op-eds. If your work is considered for publication you will be contacted via email to negotiate terms of publication.
Terms and Conditions:
- By submitting your poem, you grant The Marginalia Magazine non-exclusive rights to publish your work on our website, social media platforms, or other promotional materials (with appropriate credit given to the poet).
- Plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification.
- Multiple submissions are allowed. Please submit only one piece per entry fee.
